Class A Is a Family!

August 23, 2009

The date was August 19 - 21, 2009 at St. Benedict Monastery and Retreat House located in Digos City. Accompanied by our two Campus Ministry facilitators, we, the IT - 4A, were able to arrive safe and sound  in the retreat house and in going back to Davao City with Metro Shuttle. The very reason of this three day stay is to have our Retreat with all of our classmates. To rest, relax, release, reflect and renew our minds and hearts in order to find wisdom.

The place is really very peaceful indeed. We can only hear the birds singing all day long, the bells ringing be it for the sessions, for food, for the mass or so for the 6:00PM prayer of the Monks. The two Sisters were very kind too accommodating us in our stay. The priest, Father Patrick, is very good in his sessions. Every sessions becomes more meaningful. I do love hearing your words Father, for you really point it out for us to realize that we need to prioritize things in order to have a better future. We really do thank you for that.

Being with the ClassA students who are my classmates, is really a good and unforgettable experience. It was my first time being with you all away from the city. I don’t know how to express my feelings towards you all but I hope you’ll get the idea and feeling here in my post how thankful and happy I am with you around. There are always the teasing days. A day will cry without you teasing me and that’s a funny thing to be reminisce. During the retreat, I do wish to make it a one week stay, but on the other side, I’m thankful we got only three days for I can recover easily the feeling of missing you all on our bonding in the retreat house though we can see each other always again at school.

The sharing of the small groups was very meaningful. There were tears of sadness and of pain but there were happiness too. I love it when I shared about the teasing moments. I asked the group why are you all teasing me each and everyday? And then a nice answer heard. Thank you!

The most memorable one was the second night, exchanging candles saying thank you, sorry and I love you to our classmates. There were sweet and peaceful smiles, tears of joy, and laughter. I really never expected what happened, almost all of you ClassA exchange candles to mine. I heard lots of you saying sorry and thank you. In my mind, all of you don’t need to say sorry at all for nothing really went wrong with me being with you. My heart glows and I can only say, thank you! Thank you for that memorable night ClassA!

You didn’t make it hard for me to adjust and to like you all. I told this to Abz already and I’m gonna say this again to all of you: I am thankful I have this chance to be with you all, because you make it worth for me.
